L’Occitane Store Bielefeld

At the end of November, L’Occitane opened the doors to its new store in the LOOM shopping centre in Bielefeld, thus making a colourful statement in the local shopping scene.

The French cosmetic brand commissioned Hoffmann Ladenbau as the general contractor for this project so that the store could be launched on schedule.

Numerous steps were required before the store could be handed over ready for use. From the construction of the drywall elements and the implementation of the painting and flooring work to the electrical and lighting installations and the final assembly of the counter point of sale at the rear wall, all work here was carried out according to the construction schedule. Steffen Jahn, construction project manager at Hoffmann Ladenbau, reports: “Fire protection is a very important issue, especially in store projects to be fitted out in shopping centres. For this we coordinate all the necessary measures in close coordination with the centre management.”

As general contractor, Hoffmann Ladenbau also clearly had a cutting edge when installing the yellow aluminium façade panel with delicate olive leaf-shaped perforations. Steffen Jahn explains, “In this way, we were able to assembly a specially designed substructure to which the curvature of the façade panel was perfectly matched, even before the drywall work. The panel could then be installed precisely as a final step and provided a seamless project finale!”
