Special features At the footwear fair GDS the shoe specialist Mephisto presented not only its latest spring and summer trends but also a new stand. The architect who designed the stand was Bodo von der Linde from Bad Dürkheim, and the stand was fitted by Hoffmann Ladenbau.
The traditional company from Sarrebourg in France presented the latest spring and summer trends of its brands Mobils by Mephisto and Sano by Mephisto at a totally revamped trade fair stand. The stand had been designed by the architectural studio Van der Linde in Bad Dürkheim. This inviting stand with its deliberately natural colours had been set up in collaboration with Hoffmann Ladenbau. The absolute highlight was the three display rings which appeared to be hovering at a height of 6 metres above the stand, attracting the attention of visitors from a long distance with the large lettering of the logo. Occupying about 460 square metres of space, the stand provided wide-ranging opportunities for product presentation and customer care. As well as its footwear models on centre-of-room and wall displays, Mephisto also presented its clothing collection. Moreover, an inviting ambience for customer consultancy was created through alcoves and a champagne bar.
In keeping with the natural visual focus of this wellness footwear manufacturer, the visitor’s attention was directed towards oversized ceiling bands, where the inside was decorated with a backdrop of fresh leaves, and towards certain authentic details such as Mephisto’s characteristic tree reliefs that can also be found in Mephisto’s shop design.
