April showers bring March flowers: With the kick-off to the extension to the Altmarkt-Galerie shopping mall in Dresden on 31 March 2011 the brand-new Görtz store also opened its doors. On retail space measuring some 640 m² spring-like shoe trends for women, men and children are presented here in a high-end setting packed with details. Current trend themes are picked up on in store design: Expanded metal and trowel-finish concrete are used here, for example.
The innovative design concept comes care of Görtz’s architectural department headed by Ulrich Volp while Hoffmann Ladenbau was entrusted with realising the store fitting. Each target group is addressed by a distinct “interior language”.
For instance, in the men’s department earthy brown shades in conjunction with industrial concrete looks make for a classically masculine appearance. Linking details: decorative panels coated with golden brownish synthetic leather feature not only in the striking, boardwalk-look partition wall element but also in the remaining wall design. Add to this the seating upholstered with the same fabric.
Florals, wavy acoustic panels and a mix of blackberry and lilac shades determine the design concept of the women’s department. Forming an elegant contrast to this feminine look and feel are the high-quality lounge areas. The key here: their black leatherette upholstery is stitched with pink decorative seams thereby harmonising with the colour scheme of the wall elements.
This way please: the eye-catcher in the children’s department is a decorative signpost. Fresh green nuances and high-visibility colours serve as a colourful backdrop for kids’ shoe displays. And to keep them entertained while they’re trying on shoes the little ones can play with retro telephone receivers. Special emphasis was also placed on designing the check-out zone. The eye-catcher of this newly developed design is a back wall given a compelling 3D look thanks to the arrangement of the laminate panels as well as the acrylic glass logotypes.
To be continued
Mid April will see this new concept also being introduced to the Wildau outlet. Of course, also in the picture here: shop furniture “Made by Hoffmann Ladenbau”. |
