What moves Men: Menswear Bruns |
|
Spring 2011 will see a new shopping dimension for men in Oldenburg. To highlight the branding of the menswear store Bruns and thereby increase its recognition levels the re-design featured an exciting mix of symbolic graphic art elements and masculine focal points. In charge of the new interior design concept is the Hamburg design office Breil + Partner managed by Claudia Breil who commissioned Hoffmann Ladenbau with the realisation.
Bruns Moving System Under this slogan buzzwords were defined jointly with the two store managers Eva Müller-Meinhard and Gerhardine Müller-Meinhard Cardoso. These aimed to express the strong links between this family-run business and the city of Oldenburg, on the one hand, and to embody the attributes that “get men moving”, on the other. The key here: the selected graphic style runs through the entire store design like a golden thread. For instance, the cycle hub and spokes featured as orange prints on the walls of the Young Fashion department stand for Oldenburg as a cycling city but also for this popular men’s hobby. Another symbol features in the extraordinary design of the check-out systems: the letter “O” as in Oldenburg is formed by large-format, back-lit cut-outs on the check-out back wall. |
