Ready for take off: Early September the first German flagship store of travel specialist sonnenklar.TV opened its doors. The forward-looking travel agency concept comes care of its umbrella organisation TVG (Touristik Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH). The design was “penned“ by the design team The Store Designers® from Cologne while Hoffmann Ladenbau manufactured the exclusive furniture.

Why not travel to far-away places once in a while? From outside customers can already view the latest travel offers on the display column. This interactive concept is also echoed in store; six TV screens present TV features but are also linked to form a video wall with synchronised images. Tailor-made craftsmanship was required for installing the flat screens flush with the back-lit surfaces of the display walls. To this end the trapezoidal product walls were clad with a translucent fabric covering accurate to the millimetre making the surface now appear seamless.

New Slant on the Retro Look
The colour concept smartly combines pale curry and blue shades with dark brown nuances found as accent colours in furniture components and floor coverings. Hoffmann Ladenbau both produced the furniture and took care of all required whitewashing and flooring jobs. An especially attractive contrast is formed by the wave-shaped arrangement of the dark brown long-pile carpet and the tropical wooden Wenge-look PVC floor.

Technical Equipment Hidden in the Pedestal
The assistants’ tables were designed in such a fashion that the PC is housed in its pedestal – making any cables practically invisible. The complementary container units provide plenty of storage room for office utensils and harmoniously blend with the overall picture. This also applies to the smaller centre-store tables where travel guidebooks are laid out for people to peruse.

Even waiting is fun here: The round lounge area invites customers to while away their time and even the smallest travel enthusiasts are catered to with a children’s play corner.
