Rockport: First concept store opened in Germany |
|
2 September saw the Rockport brand open its first Concept Store at the Hamburg “Elbe-Einkaufszentrum” shopping centre. Developed in partnership with footwear specialist Ludwig Görtz GmbH a prestigious retail concept was realised on 100 m² of space care of Hoffmann Ladenbau. After the concept had initially been tested as a Shop-in-Shop area at several Görtz stores, the time had now come for a stand-alone store concept.
The US Rockport concept was transposed onto the German market by Ludwig Görtz’s architectural department headed by Ulrich Volp – typical brand signature details such as the milled perforated pattern in wall elements as well as the colour concept encompasssing warm orange, dark anthracite and a light oak look were taken on here.
To the tune of 220 women’s and men’s styles are staged in a style-assured manner using wall displays and in-store display units while the check-out area harmoniously blends in with the overall store look. Integrated lounge areas and seating right in front of the shoe shelves invite shoppers to try on shoes while ensuring a comfortable retail experience.
