Norbert Hoffmann Remains District Master Craftsman
Thursday, 10 December 2009 00:00

"The verdict is in – and it's unanimous." Applause broke out on 10 December 2009 at the Craftsmen's Association as chairman Erich Heeren announced the results of the vote for District Guild Master in the Coesfeld-Stockum Technology Centre. With all 23 votes, the delegates again elected Norbert Hoffmann of Rosendahl as Master of the district Chamber of Crafts for four additional years. He has held the position since December 2005.

The delegates also unanimously gave the green light for his team, who – next to deputy Ferdinand Limberg (Nordkirchen) – also includes Reinhold Terbeck (Coesfeld) from the Painters' Guild, Wilhelm Boomers (Ahaus) from the Motor Vehicle Guild, Erich Heeren (Senden) from the Metal Guild, Clemens Volmer (Billerbeck) from the Sanitary and Heating Technology Guild, and Ulrich Lütkenhaus (Dülmen) from the Construction Guild. Ursula Ringelkamp (Ascheberg) remains District Apprentice Master.

Among the first congratulants was Hans Rath, President of the Chamber of Crafts, who also bid adieu to the departing heads of the Chamber of Crafts: Herbert May (Coesfeld), Franz-Werner Kaiser (Lüdinghausen), Heinrich Krüskemper (Lüdinghausen), Wilhelm Koch (Lüdinghausen), Karl-Heinz Vogt (Haltern) and Kurt Borowski (Senden). Rath commended these longstanding volunteers' commitment to their duties: "If this work had to be paid for it would not be done." Craftspeople have every reason to be proud of this culture, he emphasised.
